ET’s Jarett Weiselman spent 10 minutes with Arrow fan favourite Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak) as she answered some of the burning questions from fans.

In response to whether she was more afraid of the salmon ladder or not being able to do the salmon ladder she had this challenge for BamBam which appears approximately 7:30 into the video:
BamBam, our stunt co-ordinator, you need to teach me BamBam. You better be watching this ‘cos you are teaching me how to do the salmon ladder. That’ll be a day. Woah. I’m not gonna go over well.
[VIDEO]: “10 minutes with Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards”
“The “salmon ladder” stunt, in which star Stephen Amell hoists himself up a series of metal rungs holding a long bar that one hopes is unbreakable, actually derives from the actor’s real-life training regimen. The director of the first episode, David Nutter, got wind of the fact that Amell could do this crazy/weird stunt (which clearly leads to serious abs), and decided to put it in the pilot.
According to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, “It’s one of the most talked about moments in the pilot.” And not that climbing that ladder looks easy, but it’s really, really not. “I tried the salmon ladder on set and … the result was not pretty,” he added.”

I hope stuntman Jon Kralt is around to film BamBam teaching Emily the salmon ladder. Come to think of it, I’d love to know how to do it as well.
Great article, well done once again.
I didn’t know you had a BamBam fan site blog, too. I’m now following it.
