Congrats JJ Makaro and the Arrow stunt team

James at Leos 2010The Leo Awards recognise excellence in British Columbia film, television and web series and nominations have just been announced. JJ Makaro received a nomination for Stunt Co-ordination for The Scientist. Congratulations to he and the entire stunt team. Every episode could have received a nomination. The nominees in the category are:

J. J. Makaro
Arrow – The Scientist

Kimani Ray Smith
Continuum – Split Second

Kimani Ray Smith
Continuum – Second Last

Kimani Ray Smith

I’m still unclear why James was not also nominated since I believe he and JJ are co-stunt coordinators on Arrow (at least that what it says on the Stunts Canada website).

Arrow received a total of six Leo Award nominations.

The Leo Awards will be presented over three nights – Celebration Awards on May 30th & 31st and the Gala Ceremony on June 1st at the BC Ballroom Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. Two years ago James presented in the Stunt Co-ordination category. Hopefully the Leo Awards will get James to present again, as his short film Bam Late for the Leos was the hit of the Awards. Have you seen it? It’s my fave. I hope he does another. Check it out below:

Good luck Team Arrow!
