Long time followers of BamBam may be familiar with his dog, Luna (Spanish for Moon). An adorable 7 3/4 year old mostly black half Schipperke/half Brussels Griffon, Luna has been a beloved part of the Bamford clan since she was a pup.
Schipperkes (pronounced Skip purr kee) originated in Belgium as a descendent of the black sheepdog known as the Leauvenaar, and utilised as a watchdog, frequently a Captain’s dog, guarding the canal barges of Belgium and controlling vermin such as rats. Brussels Griffon also originated in Belgium to control vermin.
James chose this breed because they are wonderful. Schipperkes are known to be intelligent, curious and extremely active dogs who love to be involved in whatever is going on around them. They are devoted, loyal and an excellent friend to children. Brussels Griffon are also affectionate, lively and intelligent dogs, adept at climbing.
I asked James how he’d describe her and he said “she is wonderful”.

She’s a tough young dog, surviving an infection when she was 10 weeks, although losing a part of her ear, giving her a distinctive appearance. She rules her hood.

Luna is quite the actress, with an impressive cameo in the short film Late for the Leo’s, BamBam’s introduction as a presenter for the Stunt category at the Leo Awards. Enjoy!
In addition, David the Storyboard artist has featured her on the cover of the storyboard art:
Our storyboard artist, David, thought it would be fun to put my dog Luna on the front page, after a visit. pic.twitter.com/q3KJOWFGEH
